The Windham Performing Arts Center, also known as the Center Church or Civic Center, is praised by musicians and audience alike for its extraordinary acoustics and intimate warm ambience. The 260-seat hall, which seats a maximum of 200 downstairs and 60 in the cushioned balcony area, has been described as an architectural and acoustical gem. These brief performance excerpts, taken from recordings made by Wayne Hileman and Richard Price of Candlewood Digital and Gregory Squires of Squires Productions over the past eight years, give an indication of the musicianship of the festival performers and the special warmth of this historic building.
Windham Chamber Music Festival concerts are made possible in part through a grant from the New York State Council on the Arts, administered by the Greene County Council on the Arts, and through donations from area businesses and individuals.
