Dear Music Lovers,

Welcome to our Eighth Season of Great Chamber Music in the acoustically superb and historically preserved Windham Performing Arts Center in the former Centre Presbyterian Church Building.

We are pleased once again to be able to offer seven concerts of wonderful music to you.

This season features the debuts of three world-class string quartets: the Lark, Cassatt and Mendelssohn Quartets, along with the debut of the wonderful young cellist, Ashley Bathgate.

We also complete our survey of the great piano quintet literature.

This winter on January 17th the wonderful jazz piano trio, the Bill Mays Trio, will really warm up the hall for you with some great chamber jazz. Then, on July 10th our air-conditioned summer season begins with the Windham Festival String Orchestra and distinguished soloists in music by Vivaldi, Bach, Wagner and Gerald Finzi. On July 24th the Cassatt String Quartet and pianist Yuri Funahashi will perform Dohnanyi’s Piano Quintet #1. On August 21st the Windham Trio will be featured in music by Cecile Chaminade and Robert Manno and on August 28th the Lark String Quartet will be joined by pianist Jon Klibonoff in the Cesar Franck Piano Quintet. On September 4th the Mendelssohn String Quartet and pianist Ursula Oppens will perform the monumental Brahms Piano Quintet, and on October 2nd we are pleased to present the Mountain Top recital debut of the brilliant young cellist, Ashley Bathgate.

Your support has made it possible for us to build an ongoing chamber music festival that attracts world-class performers to Windham, "the gem of the Catskills."

Your donations are essential to our continued survival. Won't you help us to ensure the continuation of this important cultural attraction to the Windham area?

Thank you so much!
