Polish-born Adam Makowicz, an internationally acclaimed jazz piano virtuoso, has dazzled audiences throughout the world with his touch, articulation, and rich harmonic textures. During the past two decades he has performed solo, with groups, and with orchestras, including the National Symphony Orchestra; performed in major concert halls, festivals, and clubs in the U.S., Canada, Europe and Peru; and shared stages with many jazz greats. Adam made his debut at the 1998 Windham Chamber Music Festival in a standing-room-only solo recital.
Czech-born George Mraz is recognized as a musician's musician, and one of the most sought-after bassists in the jazz world. The who's who of jazz masters who have made him their first-call bassist for three decades include the Thad Jones/Mel Lewis Orchestra, Dizzy Gillespie, Carmen McRae, Clark Terry, Stan Getz, Slide Hampton, Elvin Jones, Joe Henderson, Joe Lovano and many others.
