BECOME A CONTRIBUTOR TO THE
WINDHAM CHAMBER MUSIC FESTIVAL An Invitation from Robert Manno and Magdalena Golczewski
Dear Music Lovers,
Welcome to the Windham Chamber Music Festival 2014 Season at the acoustically superb and historically preserved Windham Civic Center Concert Hall. This season marks our 18th year of presenting great music in the town of Windham.
We are grateful to all of our donors for their generous support, with special thanks for foundation support from the Willow Springs Foundation, the Peter R. & Cynthia K. Kellogg Foundation, the Windham Chapter of the Catskill Mountain Foundation, the Greene County Council on the Arts and the David G. Whitcomb Foundation.
Our performances continue to be featured nationwide on American Public Media's (formerly National Public Radio) "Performance Today" program. These live recordings come from many of the world's finest musical organizations.
Our 2014 season opens on January 18th with a Special Winter Jazz Concert featuring the brilliant pianist Eldar Djangirov in a solo recital. On May 24th we are proud to host the Greene County debut of the Intersection Trio with John Novacek, Laura Frautschi and Reiko Cooper. Then on July 19th the popular Gala Orchestra Concert features the great cellist, Zuill Bailey performing the Schumann Cello Concerto along with Metropolitan Opera baritone Christopher Feigum and the Windham Festival Chamber Orchestra conducted by Robert Manno.
On August 16th we are proud to present a solo recital by the acclaimed pianist Simone Dinnerstein in her third Windham appearance, and on August 30th the great jazz pianist Fred Hersch will make his Greene County debut in a solo recital.
And on November 29th please join the Windham Festival Chamber Orchestra at the Doctorow Center for the Performing Arts in Hunter, NY in music of Vivaldi, Handel, Mozart and Haydn. This concert is made possible by the Jarvis and Constance Doctorow Family Foundation.
Your support has made it possible to build an ongoing chamber music festival that features world-class performers and continues to give the Northern Catskill area national exposure over American Public Media's "Performance Today".
Sincerely,
Robert Manno Magdalena Golczewski
