BECOME A CONTRIBUTOR TO THE
WINDHAM CHAMBER MUSIC FESTIVAL An Invitation from Robert Manno and Magdalena Golczewski
Dear Music Lovers,
Welcome to the Windham Chamber Music Festival 2013 Season at the acoustically superb and historically preserved Windham Civic Center Concert Hall. This season marks our 17th year of presenting great music in the town of Windham.
We are grateful to all of our donors for their generous support
with special thanks for foundation support from the Willow Springs Foundation, the Windham Chapter of the Catskill Mountain Foundation, the Peter R. & Cynthia K. Kellogg Foundation, the Greene County Council on the Arts and the David G. Whitcomb Foundation.
Our performances continue to be featured nationwide on American Public Media's (formerly National Public Radio) "Performance Today" program. These live recordings come from many of the world's finest musical organizations.
Our 2013 season opens on January 19th with a Special Winter Jazz Concert featuring the great Mulgrew Miller Trio. On May 25th we are proud to host a piano recital by the brilliant Brazilian-American pianist Arnaldo Cohen in his Greene County debut. Then on July 20th the popular Gala Orchestra Concert features the lovely mezzo-soprano Darcy Dunn in her Windham debut along with pianist Stephen Gosling and the Windham Festival Chamber Orchestra conducted by Robert Manno.
In August the Season continues with the debuts of two formidable string quartets and two brilliant young pianists. On August 17th the Escher String Quartet will be joined by pianist Benjamin Hochman and on August 31st pianist Anna Polonsky will join the Daedalus String Quartet.
And on November 30th please join the Windham Festival Chamber Orchestra at the Doctorow Center for the Performing Arts in Hunter, NY in music of Bach, Vivaldi, Grieg and Aaron Copland. This concert is made possible by the Jarvis and Constance Doctorow Family Foundation.
Your support has made it possible to build an ongoing chamber music festival that features world-class performers and continues to give the Northern Catskill area national exposure over American Public Media's "Performance Today".
Sincerely,
Robert Manno Magdalena Golczewski
