Dear Music Lovers,

Welcome to the 14th season of Windham Chamber Music Festival concerts in the acoustically superb and historically preserved Windham Civic and Performing Arts Center.

Because of the generosity of arts supporters like you, many of our recorded concerts have been featured nationwide on American Public Media's (formerly National Public Radio) "Performance Today" program. These live recordings come from many of the world's finest musical organizations, and it is an honor to be in such company.

We are grateful to all our donors for their generous support, especially the Windham Chapter of the Catskill Mountain Foundation, the Peter R. & Cynthia K. Kellogg Foundation, the David G. Whitcomb Foundation, the Greene County Council on the Arts and also for our ongoing partnership with the Catskill Mountain Foundation.

Our 2010 season opens on February 13th with the first appearance in the Northern Catskills of the wonderful jazz pianist Sarah Jane Cion and her trio. Sarah Jane will be joined by bassist Sean Smith and drummer Scott Latzky in a wonderful evening of great chamber jazz.

On July 10th our ever-popular Annual Gala Orchestra Concert will feature the Windham Festival Chamber Orchestra along with the debut of two wonderful soloists, soprano Nancy Allen Lundy and pianist Stephen Gosling. The program will include music of Beethoven, Dvorak, Mahler, Richard Strauss, Gerald Finzi and Johann Strauss II.

August 14th brings the first appearance in Windham of the internationally acclaimed Bill Charlap Trio. This will be Bill Charlap's fourth appearance in Windham, having first appeared in 2002 with bassist Ray Drummond, in a 2005 solo recital, and in a duo piano concert with Renee Rosnes in 2008.

Our 2010 Windham Season concludes on September 4th with an exciting violin and piano recital by the esteemed violinist Elmar Oliveira, accompanied by pianist Robert Koenig. Oliveira remains the only American violinist ever to win First Prize at the Tchaikovsky International Competition in Moscow.

Your support has made it possible to build an ongoing chamber music festival that attracts world-class performers to the Mountain Top as well as continuing to give the Northern Catskill area national exposure over American Public Media's "Performance Today".

Please join us in what we are sure will be a wonderful 2010 season.
