Dear Music Lovers,

Welcome to the 10th season of Windham Chamber Music Festival concerts in the acoustically superb and historically preserved Windham Performing Arts Center.

Because of the generosity of arts supporters like you, for the past 6 years many of our recorded concerts have been featured nationwide on National Public Radio's "Performance Today" program. The live recordings chosen by NPR come from many of the world's finest musical organizations, and it is an honor to be in such company.

We are grateful for our ongoing close partnership with the Catskill Mountain Foundation and the very generous in-kind donations provided to WCMF by the Foundation and by Ruder Finn.

Our 2006 season opens on February 18th with a special winter concert featuring the great piano/vibes jazz duo of Frank Kimbrough and Joe Locke. This is an evening of great music-making that is not to be missed!

On July 15th the ever-popular 2006 Mountain Top Gala Summer Concert will feature the Windham Festival Chamber Orchestra along with the great violinist James Buswell and the brilliant young pianist Meng Chieh-Liu in his Mountain Top debut. Mendelssohn's Concerto for Violin, Piano and Strings is the featured work.

On July 29th we are pleased to once again present the distinguished resident artists of the Amati Music Festival in an exciting program of wonderful classical music.

August 19th brings a very special debut. Margaret Lattimore, the wonderful Metropolitan Opera mezzo-soprano, will present an enchanting program of vocal music by Mahler, Schubert, Saint- Saëns, Mozart, Brahms and Chausson. She will be joined by pianist John Churchwell and the Windham Festival Chamber Ensemble conducted by Robert Manno. The evening's featured work will be Mahler's poignant Songs of a Wayfarer.

Finally, on September 2nd we are honored to once again present Vladimir Pleshakov and Elena Winther. This year the great duo piano team will be joined by violinist and WCMF Co-Director, Magdalena Golczewski and cellist Ashley Bathgate in a program of music by Haydn, Hummel, Rachmaninoff and Strauss, as well as a premiere by Robert Manno.

Please join us!

Your support has made it possible to build an ongoing chamber music festival that attracts world-class performers to the Mountain Top as well as continuing to give the Northern Catskill area national exposure over National Public Radio.

We hope that you will continue to support the Windham Chamber Music Festival! Thank you so much!
